Dear Foreign Health Insurance Clients,
We continue to share the legal information we learned about the insurance and residence processes in order to facilitate the lives of our foreign guests living in Turkey.
With this week's blog post, "E-Residence Application Costs and Tuition Fees 2023", we will talk about this issue.
First of all, it is obligatory for every individual who will apply for residence to have foreign health insurance, and foreign health insurance prices vary according to your age. There is not much difference in price between insurance companies, on average 1,064 TL without discount for those aged 16-25, and 1,640 TL without discount for those between 36-45 years of age.
Of course, your expenses do not end with residence insurance. Plus, there are E-residence fees and card fees. Tuition fees generally vary according to the length of stay and your country. For many countries, the 1-year residence fee is around 80 dollars, or 1.500 TL, on average, with the current exchange rate, and the residence card fee is 356 TL.
In addition, if you are going to reside in Turkey for the first time, you have to pay a single entry visa fee. This single entry visa fee has been 2,304 TL with the latest hikes in 2023, and lastly, you will show a house where you are a tenant as an address. You need to approve your rental contract with a notary public, and it is around 2.000 TL on average depending on the expenditure to be made at the notary.
Considering all these expenses, assuming that you will make the first application and that you are between the ages of 36-45 on average, the cost of 1-year residence for many countries is between 7.500 TL and 8.000 TL.
Turkmenistan, Denmark, Ireland, Kosovo, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Syria, Republic of Northern Cyprus and Austrian citizens who are married to the citizens of the Republic of Turkey, as well as German citizens married to the citizens of the Republic of Turkey and their children are exempt from the residence permit fee, so their expenditures are slightly less on average. It is around 6,000 TL. Czech citizens, on the other hand, will have even less expenses as they are exempt from both the residence permit fee and the single entry fee. If they do not have to pay the notary fee, this expense will be even lower.
If you want to make transactions with a consultancy firm, you should not forget that you will have to pay a service fee in addition to these. We do not want you to pay a fee to consultancy firms and be a victim, and we would like to point out that leading law firms in this field prefer E-ikametsigorta.com for their insurance services. We would be happy to guide you when you really need a lawyer in this regard.
Now let's list the expenses in the extension applications. In case of extension applications, the situation is slightly different, since you will not pay notary fees and single entry visa fees, you will spend approximately 3.500 TL if you are a citizen of Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Iran, and around 2.000 TL if you are a citizen of Turkmenistan.
In fact, it is not as difficult as before to register your e-residency application, on the contrary, it is very simple and takes a maximum of 10 minutes. It is only important steps and the correct recording of your financial and educational information in the system.
We, as E-ikametsigorta.com, provide free support to our members who buy insurance from us with the information we know from legal institutions, with all the correct information we know during the appointment process.
The most important point to be considered when making an e-ikamet Appointment Registration / Application is that you do not take into account the process on any site other than the official website of our state, https://e-ikamet.goc.gov.tr/.
Many intermediary institutions/persons charge a fee for the e-residence Appointment Registration / Application (which is not legal), after which serious grievances and problems may be experienced regarding the application processes.
Unfortunately, many institutions copy the immigration administration website and receive applications, and due to its similarity, many foreign guests experience material / moral grievances. In fact, foreign guests who apply to these sites and then pay the requested fee think that they pay the required fees for E-residence.
As E-ikametsigorta.com, we are happy to share with you all legal updates.
